frequently asked questions

Earn rewards in 3 easy steps:

1. Use your debit card 15 times a month. (Must be a point of sale transaction)

2. Sign up for eStatements. (You only have to do this once)

3. Keep a $5 balance in your savings account and stay current on loan payment. (Your credit union loans, if any, cannot be more than 14 days past due)

4. Monthly dividends will be deposited right into your account. (No points to track or redeem)

There’s no catch! If you don’t meet the requirements, you won’t earn dividends for that month. However, your account remains open, and you can qualify again next month. There is no penalty or fee imposed when you don’t meet requirements.

There is no required minimum balance. It’s okay to have $0.00 in your Rewards Checking account, but you will earn no dividends without a balance.

No, there are no monthly service fees associated with this account.

You can enroll in eStatements through online banking, the myPCFCU mobile app, visiting your nearest branch, or by calling 800.570.0265.

Any point of sale (POS) purchases made with your debit card, including in-store and online purchases count toward the required 15 transactions. For online purchases, the vendor must process the payment using your debit card details—electronic transfers directly from your checking account do not qualify. ATM withdrawals or cash-like transactions (such as money orders or peer-to-peer transfers) are excluded.

Transactions are counted in the month when they fully settle. Pending purchases may count toward the following month.

We add up your balances for every day in the month then divide that by the number of days in the month. This gives us your average daily balance. If you meet the requirements to earn dividends, we calculate 7.00% APY for up to $10,000.00 of your average daily balance. If your average daily balance is greater than $10,000.00, you will earn 7.00% APY on the first $10,000.00 and 0.02% APY for the remainder of the balance.
